Vocational Rehabilitation

Verdugo Jobs Center staff and the collocated staff of the State of California Department of Rehabilitation (DR) provide services which assist customers with disabilities to become employed. In the VJC Resource Area we have the following:

  • 2 – VeriTask adjustable work centers
  • 2 – Open Book, Ruby Edition, version 4.01
  • 1 - Aladdin Companion, black & white 8/75" viewing screen, magnification 2.8x to 17.5x, model ALC1A
  • 2 – Modenta On-screen keyboard version 1.0, Windows standard
  • 2-Monitors, 17” viewable
  • Zoomtext, version 7.0
  • JAWS

When a customer is interested in additional vocational rehabilitation services, a referral is made to the DR orientation/informational meeting held at VJC on Thursdays at 3:00 PM.

If you are interested in attending this orientation, please make an appointment. This is done with the receptionist at VJC or by calling 818-409-0476.
